Mankind Pharma reported a strong set of fourth-quarter earnings, supported by healthy growth in its domestic business, rising contribution from chronic therapies and a sharp improvement in operating margins.

Revenue for the quarter ended March 2026 increased 11.8 per cent year-on-year to Rs 3,443 crore from Rs 3,079.4 crore in the corresponding period last year.

EBITDA rose 36.1 per cent to Rs 930 crore from Rs 683 crore a year earlier, while EBITDA margin expanded significantly to 27 per cent from 22.2 per cent.

Net profit stood at Rs 420.8 crore, broadly unchanged from Rs 425.1 crore reported in the year-ago quarter.

Shares of Mankind Pharma ended 1 per cent lower at Rs 2,470 on the NSE ahead of the earnings announcement.

Rajeev Juneja said the company delivered revenue growth of around 12 per cent during the quarter, with an adjusted EBITDA margin of 27.1 per cent, driven primarily by strong performance in the domestic market.

The company’s India business, excluding its consumer healthcare division, grew approximately 13 per cent year-on-year, supported by double-digit expansion across chronic therapy segments.

Its cardiac portfolio recorded growth of 14.7 per cent, while anti-diabetes therapies expanded 11.6 per cent. As a result, the chronic portfolio now contributes nearly 40 per cent of the company’s domestic sales.

Mankind Pharma also reported a sequential recovery in key acute therapy segments, including gastroenterology and vitamins, minerals and nutrients (VMN).

Its over-the-counter business grew 20 per cent during the quarter, aided by strong demand through e-commerce channels.

The company noted that growth in its international business remained subdued due to geopolitical challenges in overseas markets.

Meanwhile, the speciality portfolio under Bharat Serums and Vaccines continued to perform strongly, with key brands including Foligraf, HMG, Ossopan and Lactare registering healthy double-digit growth during the quarter.
