Actor Vijay Deverakonda had a narrow escape after his car was hit by another vehicle on the Hyderabad–Bengaluru Highway (NH-44) in Jogulamba Gadwal district, Telangana, earlier today.
According to reports, the actor was travelling from Puttaparthi, Andhra Pradesh, to Hyderabad when another car rammed into his vehicle from behind. Fortunately, no one was injured, and Vijay escaped the mishap completely unharmed.
The other car involved in the collision reportedly did not stop and continued towards Hyderabad. Vijay’s driver later filed a complaint with the local police, who have registered a case and begun an investigation.
Despite the accident, Vijay safely reached Hyderabad.
The incident comes just days after reports emerged about Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna’s private engagement ceremony held on October 3, attended by close friends and family members.
Following the engagement, Vijay visited Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s Prasanthi Nilayam Ashram in Puttaparthi with his family. The accident occurred while they were returning to Hyderabad after the visit.
Photos from his Puttaparthi trip went viral online, with fans spotting a ring on Vijay’s finger, further fueling engagement rumors.
Sources suggest that Vijay and Rashmika’s wedding is likely to take place in February 2026, though the couple has not officially confirmed their engagement yet. |
