How to Change Time Slot for Passport Appointment in India
If you need to reschedule your passport appointment in India due to any reason, follow these steps to change your time slot efficiently:
1. Check Eligibility
You can reschedule your appointment up to 24 hours before the scheduled time without any charges.
If you miss the appointment or cancel it after the 24-hour window, you may have to pay a rescheduling fee (₹500) or lose your application.
2. Online Rescheduling via Passport Seva Portal
Visit the official website: https://passportindia.gov.in
Log in to your existing account using your Application Number and Password.
Go to "View/Cancel/Reschedule Appointment" under the "My Account" section.
Select your appointment and click on "Reschedule".
Choose a new time slot from the available dates and times.
Confirm the changes and submit the request.
3. Reschedule via Passport Seva Mobile App
Open the Passport Seva App (download from Google Play Store or Apple App Store).
Sign in to your account.
Navigate to "Appointments" > "View/Cancel/Reschedule".
