The 2020–21 Indian Super League season was the seventh season of the Indian Super League, India\“s premier professional football league. The season began on November 20, 2020, and concluded with the final on March 13, 2021. All matches were played in three venues across Goa due to the COVID-19 pandemic, creating a secure bio-bubble for players and staff.
The league featured 11 teams competing in a round-robin format during the regular season, with each team playing 20 matches. The top four teams then advanced to the playoffs. Mumbai City FC emerged as champions by defeating ATK Mohun Bagan in the final, also securing their first ISL trophy.
This season was significant as it marked the first time the ISL was recognized as the top-tier league in Indian football, replacing the I-League.
