As the NIA probe into the deadly November 10 Delhi blast and the Faridabad terror module progresses, shocking details have emerged from the Al Falah University from where doctors and students have been arrested.
Latest reports citing security sources suggest that at least 10 people have gone missing from Al Falah University in Dhauj, Faridabad. These include doctors and students and three of them hail from Jammu and Kashmir, reported NDTV.
Though it has not been confirmed if these missing people are linked to the Red Fort blast, intelligence sources suspect they could be part of the Faridabad terror module.
The disappearance came to light during a joint operation by police teams from Jammu and Kashmir and Haryana. Their phones were found to be switched off.
The joint investigation team from the two states arrested Dr Muzammil Shakeel and Dr Shaheen Shahid before the Delhi blast. They both worked at Al Falah University while Dr Umar un Nabi who carried out the Red Fort blast studied the same institution.
On Tuesday, Al Falah group chairman Jawad Ahmad Siddiqui was arrested by ED for money laundering after they raided 18 locations, including the Faridabad university and residences of key people linked to the group in Delhi.
ED is probing a trail of Rs 415 crore that was gained wrongfully by misleading students and the public in the name of fake UGC recognition and NAAC accreditation. The agency suspects that the financial trail may lead to destinations abroad, including Gulf countries. ED has got his custody till December 1 after they informed that court that he may flee the country anytime as his close relatives are living in the Gulf countries. |
