Hilton has announced a major restructuring of its Hilton Honors loyalty programme, introducing a new top tier called Diamond Reserve and lowering qualification thresholds for all elite levels from 2026. The move aims to increase engagement and offer greater value to frequent travellers across the company’s growing global portfolio.
“Members have told us they are looking for more personal recognition and meaningful rewards throughout their travel journey. Today, we are proud to usher in the next chapter for Hilton Honors by delivering on what matters most to our members: making loyalty both more accessible and more rewarding, in more places around the world,” said Chris Nassetta, President and Chief Executive Officer, Hilton. “At a time when many loyalty programs feel increasingly interchangeable, we’re strengthening Hilton Honors for every member – from our superior upgrade benefits for our elite members to more ways to dream, stay, earn and redeem Points across our growing portfolio of more than 9,000 hotels.”
From next year, Gold status will require 25 nights instead of the current 40, while Diamond status will be achievable with 50 nights instead of 60. Members will continue to receive the existing benefits associated with both tiers, including room upgrades, Food and Beverage credits and increased points earnings.
Diamond Reserve will sit at the top of the programme and will be awarded to members completing 80 and 18000 dollars in eligible annual spend. The tier has been positioned as Hilton’s most exclusive offering, with benefits designed to add flexibility and recognition for high-value guests. Core features include confirmable upgrades at the time of booking, guaranteed 4 pm. late checkout, access to Premium Clubs, priority upgrade consideration and a higher points bonus of one hundred and twenty per cent on stays.
Hilton has also retained key loyalty features such as no blackout dates on reward stays, Fifth Night Free and the option to combine points with cash for added flexibility. |
