The Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix at Yas Marina Circuit remained one of the most anticipated events, featuring high-speed racing action and attracting international motorsport enthusiasts. The UFC Fight Island events also returned, bringing top mixed martial arts competitions to the emirate.
