Delhi Red Fort explosion live: At least eight people were killed and several others injured after an explosion occurred near the Red Fort on Monday evening. The authorities have placed the national capital on high alert following the explosion. Around seven fire tenders were rushed to the spot to contain the situation.
According to initial reports, the explosion took place in a car parked outside the Lal Quila metro station at around 6.30 pm. The exact nature and cause of the blast are yet to be determined. The fire department further told ANI that a call was received regarding an explosion in a car near Gate No. 1 of the Red Fort Metro Station, after which three to four vehicles also caught fire and sustained damage.
