Portugal-based extra virgin olive oil brand Coração Do Vale has officially entered the Indian market through an exclusive culinary showcase hosted at Le Méridien in collaboration with Chef Davinder Kumar, popularly known as Chef DK.
The event, titled “The Portuguese Pour — Chef DK's Tasting Series”, introduced Indian diners to the premium olive oil sourced from the Baixo Alentejo region of Portugal. The brand has been brought to India by Leads Brand Connect.
Chef DK curated a special tasting menu highlighting the versatility of the olive oil across Indian and European-inspired dishes. The menu featured preparations including Tomato & Raw Mango Carpaccio, Charred Sweet Potato Chaat, Pan Seared Sole with Mint, Caper & EVOO Tapenade, and Rustic Carrot & Cinnamon Cake.

Sharing his experience about Coração do Vale, Chef Davinder Kumar said: “What sets Coração Do Vale is not merely its provenance, but its personality. This comes from the seven native Portuguese olive varieties with each contributing a distinct note to the final pour.”
Coração Do Vale is produced using olive varieties including Arbequina, Arbosana, Cobrançosa, Picual, Cordovil, Verdeal and Galega. The olive oil is currently available through its direct-to-consumer platform, Amazon India and select gourmet stores across Delhi-NCR. |
