Peddi is one of the most anticipated films in Tollywood this year. According to industry sources, the North American theatrical rights have been closed at ₹30 crore, with up to ₹5 crore refundable in case of losses.
The remaining overseas rights, excluding North America, are being quoted at ₹22 crore. However, buyers have reportedly not shown interest at that valuation so far.
Apart from the song “Chikiri…”, there has not been much impactful promotional content released from the film.
Trade circles believe that if the team unveils more engaging and viral promotional material, it could generate stronger buyer interest.
The film is directed by Buchi Babu Sana and stars Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor in the lead roles. It is produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru and Ishan Saksena, with music composed by A. R. Rahman.
Peddi is scheduled to hit theatres on April 30, 2026. |
