Sterling Holiday Resorts has introduced its latest ‘Discoveries & Experiences’ (D&E) initiative, “Soil to Soul,” at Sterling Wayanad. Designed as an immersive farm-to-fork journey, the experience blends sustainable tourism with Kerala’s rich agricultural and culinary heritage.
The half-day programme takes guests through organic farms and spice plantations, where they engage with local farmers, learn about paddy cultivation and spice farming, and harvest fresh produce. The journey concludes with a cooking session led by Sterling’s chefs, using ingredients gathered during the experience to prepare traditional Kerala dishes.
Guests also interact with indigenous Wayanad communities, gaining insights into their food traditions and way of life. Participants take home handcrafted spice packs and recipe cards as keepsakes of the experience.
“Soil to Soul” joins a series of curated local experiences under Sterling’s D&E platform, including collaborations with Uravu, a local NGO supporting bamboo craftsmanship and tribal livelihoods. Through such initiatives, Sterling Holiday Resorts continues to strengthen its focus on sustainable and experiential travel in India.
“With ‘Soil to Soul,’ we want our guests to go beyond the conventional holiday—to connect with the land, people, and stories that make Wayanad special,” said Harinath Mohanasundaram, Senior Vice President – Marketing, Sterling Holiday Resorts. “It’s a celebration of food, culture, and sustainability, and a meaningful addition to our growing D&E portfolio.” |
