Shashikant Shimpi takes over as India MD at The Access Group
The Access Group has appointed Shashikant Shimpi as Managing Director, India, for its Hospitality Division, strengthening the company’s leadership presence in the country as part of its APAC expansion strategy. Shimpi joined the company in May 2026 and will oversee The Access Group’s India operations, including growth initiatives for STAAH, an Access company and hospitality technology platform, as well as capability development in artificial intelligence and technology talent.With 25 years of experience in digital transformation, business scaling and client success, Shimpi has previously held leadership positions at RunDTC, Dentsu, Isobar and Tata group companies. Prior to joining The Access Group, he served as Global COO at RunDTC.
The company said India remains a key market for hospitality technology growth, driven by increasing demand from hotels for integrated solutions focused on distribution, revenue optimisation and guest experience management.
