CleanMax Expands Portfolio With 185 MW Wind-Solar Hybrid Plant
CleanMax has commissioned a 185 MW wind-solar hybrid power project in Gujarat, marking another addition to its renewable energy portfolio in India. The project is located in Kalavad and is designed to supply clean electricity to corporate and industrial consumers under long-term arrangements. The commissioning reflects continued momentum in hybrid renewable projects, which combine solar and wind to deliver more stable power output.Hybrid project to supply power to corporate consumers
The project will supply renewable energy to around 17 corporate customers, highlighting growing demand from the commercial and industrial (C&I) segment for clean energy solutions. Hybrid projects are increasingly being adopted by companies seeking reliable and cost-effective renewable power, as they help balance intermittency by combining solar and wind generation. The addition of this capacity strengthens CleanMax’s presence in Gujarat, a key state for renewable energy development due to favourable wind and solar conditions. Hybrid installations also enable better utilisation of transmission infrastructure and improve plant load factors, making them attractive for large-scale deployment.
The commissioning comes at a time when demand for renewable energy is rising among corporates aiming to meet sustainability and decarbonisation targets. Companies across sectors are increasingly entering into long-term agreements to secure green power, driving growth in the C&I renewable energy segment.
