"...different people give different statements in completely different ways, this clearly indicates that there is something fishy," the Congress leader claimed. "The truth and the reality should be brought before the country openly, and the whole matter should be clarified," he said.
"On the battlefield of war, where soldiers throw their lives and stand to defend the nation, one cannot compare them to anyone. The soldier of the country is paramount to us..." he added.
Earlier in the day, the Indian Army chief had said the restraint shown by India's armed forces during Operation Sindoor will not be repeated in case of a future military conflict and urged Indian soldiers to remain poised for action.
"India, as a country, is fully prepared this time. And this time, it will not show the restraint that it showed during Operation Sindoor 1.0. This time, we will take a step forward and act in a manner that will make Pakistan think whether it wants to remain on the world map or not," General Dwivedi said.
Meanwhile, the IAF chief had said at least a dozen Pakistani military aircraft, including F-16 jets, were destroyed or damaged in Indian strikes during Operation Sindoor. He added that Indian security forces damaged several military infrastructure in Pakistan that included hangars in three locations, radars in at least four places, command and control centres in two sites, and runways in two places.
