An Indian student was allegely shot dead by a robber in Dallas, Texas, in the United States on Friday, according to reports. He was identified as Chandrashekar Pole.Who was Chandrashekar Pole?
The victim, identified as Chandrashekar Pole, 27, went to the Dallas for higher studies after completing BDS in Hyderabad. He was a resident of LB Nagar in Hyderabad and was working at a gas station in Dallas, reported Telangana Today.

According to the US Department of Homeland Security, he was studying at the University of North Texas, Denton, since August 21, 2023. His Masters in Data Analytics course was set to conclude by December 12, 2025. He was staying in Denton, which is 40 km from Texas.
MLA Sudhir Reddy and former BRS minister T. Harish Rao arrived at Chandrashekar’s house in Telangana to console the family members.
"Chandra Shekhar Pole, a Dalit student from LB Nagar, who had gone to Dallas for higher studies, was shot dead by unidentified assailants in the early hours of this morning," Rao posted on X.
"The parents are heartbroken to know that their son is no more. My deepest condolences to his family," he added.
The former minister urged the state government to take steps to repatriate the body to India immediately.
