Kotak Mahindra Bank Reports 14% Growth In Deposits, Advances In Q2
Kotak Mahindra Bank reports strong growth in its provisional financial update for the September quarter, with both deposits and advances registering double-digit gains year-on-year. The private sector lender’s average total deposits rose 14.4 per cent to Rs 5.10 lakh crore in Q2 FY25, compared with Rs 4.46 lakh crore in the same period last year. On a sequential basis, deposits expand 3.7 per cent over the June quarter figure of Rs 4.92 lakh crore.Average net advances during the quarter stand at Rs 4.48 lakh crore, reflecting a 14.6 per cent increase from Rs 3.91 lakh crore in the corresponding period of FY24. Quarter-on-quarter, advances improve 4 per cent from Rs 4.30 lakh crore in June.
As of 30 September 2025, net advances are pegged at Rs 4.63 lakh crore, marking a 15.8 per cent rise over Rs 4.00 lakh crore a year earlier and 4 per cent higher than the June-end level of Rs 4.45 lakh crore.
The bank also reports steady growth in Current Account and Savings Account (CASA) balances. Period-end CASA balances stand at Rs 2.24 lakh crore, up 11.2 per cent year-on-year and 6.7 per cent higher sequentially. Average CASA deposits for the quarter rose 6.2 per cent to Rs 1.98 lakh crore, compared with last year, and are 3.3 per cent above the June quarter.
Total deposits at the end of September 2025 come in at Rs 5.29 lakh crore, a 14.6 per cent increase from Rs 4.61 lakh crore in the year-ago quarter and 3.1 per cent higher than the June quarter’s Rs 5.13 lakh crore.
Shares of Kotak Mahindra Bank closed Friday’s session 1.8 per cent higher at Rs 2,100.90 on the BSE.
